Land Acknowledgement

Zieminski Real Estate wishes to acknowledge the Indigenous people who were the caretakers of this land long before it was stolen, and the road to truth and reconciliation that still lays ahead. Zieminski Real Estate currently serves Timmins on the traditional territory of Ojibwe/Chippewa, Mushkegowuk (Cree), Algonquin and Métis Peoples, Cochrane and the Cree people of Taykwa Tagamou First Nation, Iroquois Falls and the territory of the Algonquin people of Wahgoshig First Nation, Temiskaming and the Ojibway and Oji-Cree people of the Mattagami First Nation, all of which are on Treaty 9 territory. The atrocious tragedy of residential schools and the continued mistreatment of Indigenous people is only now being rightfully acknowledged, and as a real estate business, we care deeply about the concept of home and believe strongly that all children, all people, deserve safety and respect. We hope to help others broaden their own self-guided education on residential schools and Indigenous issues, by providing the following links:
